Investment Fund
Vision
The Arts-Technology Fund is envisioned as an investment fund, potentially, the first of its kind, dedicated to ensuring the future of the arts through early-stage technology investments. By supporting startups that create new solutions for arts management, audience engagement, and content distribution, this investment initiative aims to address a critical funding gap.
The Challenge
While most industries (ie: biotech, insurance-tech, fintech) have multiple sources of capital available for tech innovation, there’s no dedicated investment ecosystem for "arts-tech," and as such, most arts-focused startup founders struggle to secure capital. The Arts-Technology Fund aims to bridge this gap, providing both capital and mentorship to help spur an entire generation of entrepreneurs who want to innovate to help the arts.
Investment Focus
The Fund aims to invest and mentor 30+ startups over a 5-7 year timeframe, in areas such as:

-
Content creation and distribution tools (ie: AI-driven solutions)
-
Marketing, social media, and audience development tools
-
Operational systems for production, management, and collaboration in the arts
-
Consumer technology (such as AR/VR) that motivate to reach/inspire younger audiences
As is common in early-stage investing, each startup would receive seed funding and structured long-term guidance from industry experts in areas such as software development, marketing, and leadership.
Market Opportunity
With over 60,000 arts organizations in the U.S. alone and a $1T impact on the economy, the arts sector has significant potential. And, according to the the National Endowment for the Arts “2022 Survey of Public Participation in the Arts,” approximately 48% of U.S. adults attended at least one cultural event in a 12-month period, equating to about 122 million people.

As new technology continues to reshape every industry, the Arts-Technology Fund is dedicated to ensuring the arts aren’t left behind—supporting innovative solutions that will allow the sector to grow and stay relevant in an increasingly digital world.
Capital & Investors
The Fund is currently seeking limited partner investors who are deeply committed to the future of the arts, and this initiative presents a new way for them to support the arts—not by focusing on one organization, but by investing to improve the sector as a whole. Through a single successful venture, investors could impact hundreds of arts organizations and catalyze transformative change across the industry.
